Maintain a fresh, protected car interior with a tiered schedule: a 10-minute weekly refresh, a monthly deep clean, and a seasonal leather/carpet treatment. Always work top-down (dash first, then floors) and use an automotive-safe interior cleaner on a microfiber cloth rather than spraying surfaces directly.

1. Weekly Routine (10–15 Minutes)

  • Declutter & Trash: Remove garbage, cups, and loose items. A good rule is to take out whatever you bring in daily.

  • Shake & Shake: Pull out the floor mats and shake them off outside the car. Fold rubber mats like a taco to trap dirt.

  • Wipe High-Touch Zones: Use a dedicated Automotive Interior Cleaner on a microfiber cloth to wipe the steering wheel, gear shifter, door handles, and armrests to prevent body oil buildup.

  • Quick Dust: Use a Swiffer or microfiber towel to sweep across the dashboard and center console.

2. Monthly Deep Clean

  • Thorough Vacuum: Remove all mats and vacuum the entire cabin, working from the ceiling down to the footwells and trunk.

  • Clean Screens: Wipe down infotainment and gauge screens with a dry or slightly damp, clean microfiber towel to avoid scratching or streaking.

  • Glass Care: Clean inside windows using an ammonia-free Tint-Safe Glass Cleaner and a two-towel system (one to wipe, one to buff) to ensure a streak-free finish.

3. Seasonal Care (Every 3–6 Months)

  • Leather Conditioning: If applicable, apply a Leather Cleaner and Conditioner to keep seats supple and prevent cracking.

  • Fabric Extraction: Use an upholstery spot cleaner for any stubborn stains or salt marks on cloth seats and carpets.

  • UV Protection: Apply a water-based protectant to your dashboard and trim for a matte, non-greasy factory finish and vital UV protection.
